| Born in 1936, he is a graduate of the Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship. His work is usually inspired by life around him though still rooted in fantasy. His works have been exhibited all over the world and has involved some change every time he has done a Radha. Sometimes Radha is a portrait in oil, a composition in charcoal, at times in tempera, at other times a soft pastel image. Roy is the head of the Department of Painting at Kala Bhawan, Shantiniketan. |
