E Paintings was established in 2002 by Abha Kapoor and Shail Singh. Both of them have had extensive experience in the art field prior to the setting up of e-Paintings. Shail Singh is also an accomplished artist. E Paintings runs an art gallery which is located at Noida, a suburb of Delhi. Since its inception E Paintings has successfully discovered and promoted several upcoming artists. Besides upcoming artists, E Paintings also enjoys a good rapport with several established artists. E Paintings is well known in the art circles for the range of paintings on offer and its fair dealings. This reputation is the reason that E Paintings was chosen by UNWA (United Nations Women’s Association) and The Doon School Old Boys’ Society to curate shows on their behalf.
Shows that have been successfully curated by E Paintings are:
1. Show curated in Ludhiana in November 2002
2. Show curated for UNWA in 2003 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Funds were raised for a crèche run by UNWA.
3. Show curated at the Great Train Gallery, New Delhi in 2004
4. Show curated for UNWA at the Great Train Gallery, New Delhi in November 2004. Funds were raised for a crèche run by UNWA.
5. Show curated for The Doon School Old Boys’ Society in March 2006. Funds raised from this show went to renovating the art school in The Doon School, Dehra Dun.
6. Show curated at Alliance Francaise on 29 & 30 December 2006.
7. Show curated at the International Students House, London on 4 & 5 July, 2008 in aid of the William Ross Murray Scholarship.
